Your pet’s wellness is the most important thing, so I can understand if you wanted to go all out and research a vet thoroughly before leaving your pet with them. Here are some links to help you research veterinarians more if you are interested:

You can do some research on your own online, but the best way to find a vet is to ask friends and people you know if there are any animal clinics they recommend. Personal referrals are usually the best, but you can also call or visit clinics ahead of time to see if they look good or not.
When visiting a clinic or talking to the veterinarian, here are some things to think about. Is the clinic clean and organized? Do you need to make an appointment or can you show up with your pet any time? Are there separate areas for different animals (ex. dogs and cats sharing a room)? Is the location convenient and are the prices reasonable?
Besides the overall clinic, you should also think about the doctors. How many veterinarians work there? Are there technicians or vets with different skills? Are surgeries, bloodwork, or any other tests done in the clinic or are they referred to a specialist? Is the staff friendly and do they seem genuinely interested in animals?
When choosing an animal clinic, cost and location are important factors but remember that your pets health is your first priority.
Notice: We are currently accepting applications and doing interviews for vets to be featured on our site. If you are a veterinarian in Wichita Falls and would like your clinic to be featured on our website, please use the contact form to reach us.
